Adolescent Visits

A Note to Our Parents and Adolescent Patients

As our young patients grow older, they take more responsibility for themselves and for their own health care. We want them and their parents to know that we view them as our patients and that our primary concern and responsibility is for them and for their needs. We encourage our adolescent and young adult patients to speak with us directly and to feel free to discuss with us any concerns that they may have about their health and their bodies.

On some occasions, there will be issues that our patients discuss with us that are CONFIDENTIAL. We encourage discussion of these issues. It is our policy to keep any discussed information confidential that our patients request us to, with the exception of issues that might be life-threatening.

Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule sick child visits on the day that you call us. Please call our office as early as possible so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

Weekend Sick Visits

Pediatric Professional Associates offers limited hours for weekend sick visits on most Saturdays and Sundays. Typically we are open through the morning and into the early afternoons depending on seasonal illness. Our goal is to help families with sick children get through the weekend without having to seek emergency intercession in the middle of the night. We do share on call and weekend coverage with 2 other local pediatricians. Call us to set up an appointment.
